Decision:

That a new Chair to be appointed at the February meeting.

2.

Appointment of Vice-Chair

To appoint a Vice-Chair for this academic year.

Decision:

That, Phil Lord to approach Rita Price for the consideration of a new Vice Chair.

3.

Declaration of Interest: Code of Local Government Conduct

Members are reminded that they must declare the existence and nature of their declared personal interests.  

Decision:

Phil Lord declared he was a Challenge Advisor to some of the schools being discussed in the agenda.

To approve and sign as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 29 June 2016.

Decision:

That, the minutes be approved as a correct record.

5.

SACRE Draft Annual Report 2015-16 pdf icon PDF 835 KB

To consider a report to approve the draft SACRE Annual Report (attached).

Decision:

That, Phil Lord to chase an updated SACRE composition list and the report be noted.

6.

Analysis of Inspection Reports pdf icon PDF 100 KB

To receive the analysis of recent Estyn Inspection Reports (attached).

Decision:

That, the report be noted.

7.

Lead Practitioner - Supporting the New GCSE Specifications

To receive a presentation regarding a GwE initiative to support the new GCSE specification in Religious Studies.

Decision:

That, the report be noted, and a presentation arranged for this group at the end of the process.

8.

Pioneer Schools and the New Curriculum

To receive a presentation from a pioneer group member regarding the pioneer school programme.

Decision:

That, Phil Lord will keep the group updated on the progress of the project, and obtain the Dysg Newsletter link form the Pioneer Team.

9.

SACRE and School to School Collaboration

To promote teacher representation through school to school collaboration.

Decision:

That, Phil Lord compiles a summary of recent evaluation forms for the next meeting.

10.

WASACRE

i)       To receive the minutes of the last meeting of the Association.

ii)      To agree attendance to the next WASACRE Carmarthenshire, 18 November 2016

Decision:

That, PL to check if Ron Keating was attending the next WASACRE meeting.

11.

Date and time of the next meeting

The next meeting will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, 15 February 2017.

Decision:

Wednesday 15 February at 2 pm, County Hall, Mold.
