Purpose:
The policy specifies how Flintshire County
Councils Revenues & Benefits Service will manage the DHP scheme
and suggests some of the factors we will consider when deciding to
award a DHP. The DHP award depends on the customers individual
circumstances, Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are
suffering from financial hardship or exceptional circumstances. The
award is intended as a short-term measure to relieve poverty or
difficult circumstances and the customer should not rely on DHP in
the long term.
Decision:
(a) That the report be noted;
(b) That the Committee’s comments in the form of the draft minutes be made available to Cabinet for its meeting in March; and
(c) That the Committee be provided with an update report in due course.
